Hanging out with my man

El Gato Verde, we sought out some Mexican. It wasn't exactly the best but did the job of filling us up.

Then we found a craft brewery called Boxing Cat Brewery. We tried 4 samplers that we all good!
And we found out that drinking craft beer is expensive, more then a normal dinner here.

Today we got a late start as we tried to figure out what to do for Nationals Day. Off we went to wander around People's Square, East Nanjing Rd and The Bund. Here's a picture tour...

A view from People's Square, you can see Donald on the left of the path.
I've been craving ice cream so Donald was sweet and
stood in a long line for a scoop of Vanilla and Strawberry!
Since it's a big holiday there were so many people out and about. There was pushing and shoving happening all day long. Take a look at the crowds:

I had a video in place of this picture but I can't get it to load correctly.

We even found a line up of good ol' police motorcycles. They
were all down the street stopping traffic to help the troves of people
cross traffic...or helping traffic get around the troves of people.
Donald's first sight of Pudong.
We hung around for awhile to see if fireworks would happen. There's a good view at night too.

oh, the people...
We ended up walking into the Old Shanghai area. There was a lot of street food and small shops of all sorts of Chinese trinkets.

Maybe it's hard to tell but this is a man with a cotton candy
maker on the back of his bike.
After all this we had to find some food. Check this place out.
To the left, pick out some veggies...to the right, pick out some meat (they had frog). Put it in a bowl and pick
how spicy you want it. Wait 10 mins and...

Voila! You get this goodness.
Pretty sure we were hungry b/c there's nothing edible left in this pot.
Tomorrow, more adventures.
